The 1st Model Jungle Fatigue Trousers, emblematic of the U.S. military's tropical combat uniform from the early Vietnam War.

This particular pair, as confirmed by the tag, is from the 1964 contract (DSA-1-3144-64-C). Furthermore, it comes in the highly sought-after SMALL-REGULAR size. Above all, it is in surprisingly good condition for an early-model authentic piece.

Jungle Fatigue Trousers were lightweight tropical combat uniforms adopted to cope with the hot and humid conditions of Southeast Asia. The 1st Model represents the very earliest specification; with details that differ from later models, it is a highly sought-after item among collectors.

The label on this item still bears the official designation: “TROUSERS, MEN’S, COTTON WIND RESISTANT POPLIN, OG 107.” It is made from lightweight, wind-resistant cotton poplin fabric and features the OG-107 color, symbolic of the U.S. military. You can enjoy the light, airy feel and silhouette unique to the “Jungle Fatigues” from the early Vietnam War era.

Large-capacity cargo pockets are positioned on both thighs. Details designed to keep items inside the pockets secure during movement, along with drawstrings at the hem and a waist adjuster, demonstrate the functional beauty of a garment designed not merely as cargo pants but as tropical combat fatigues. The care label sewn inside the garment lists instructions for wearing in tropical climates, hem care, and how to use the cargo pockets—a detail that truly conveys its background as military gear.

And the greatest appeal of this particular pair is its condition.

Although it is a 1st Model from the 1964 contract, the tags remain in remarkably clear condition. The fact that the size tag, contract notation, and instruction label are all clearly visible is a major selling point. Although there are signs of wear, there is relatively little of the severe fading or fabric wear commonly found in vintage “Jungle Faties,” and the original color remains well-preserved.

It’s fascinating that this genuine military item from about 60 years ago has maintained this condition despite having been actually worn. Unlike deadstock, it’s in an exquisite condition that allows you to fully appreciate the authentic look of the First Model while retaining the subtle signs of aging typical of a genuine used item.

The size is SMALL-REGULAR. The tag indicates a waist of 27–31 inches and an inseam of 29 1/2–32 1/2 inches. A “14” stamp can also be seen on the inside.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find high-quality early Jungle Faties from the Vietnam War era. Among them, this pair meets all the criteria: a 1964 contract, 1st Model, S-R size, and exceptionally good tag and fabric condition.

This is a wonderful early Jungle Fatig, highly recommended not only for collectors but also for anyone who wants to actually wear an authentic vintage piece.

Condition: Used. While it shows signs of wear, it is in very good condition considering its age. There is relatively little fading, and all labels remain in excellent condition. Please refer to the photos for details on minor signs of aging.

Please note that returns are not accepted for used items.
