U.S. Army OG-107 Utility Trousers from around the 1950s.Commonly known in the vintage world as “Baker Pants,” this is a very early, rare example—one where the specifications are stamped directly on the inside of the waistband, rather than featuring the later white contract tag. Although the stamp is faint and illegible, it is believed to be from a contract around 1958. The size is a rare X-LARGE.

 

The stamp shows markings such as “TROUSERS UTILITY COTTON OG-107” and “X-LARGE.”The OG-107 was adopted by the U.S. military as work and everyday duty wear starting in the 1950s and remained in service for a long time, well into the Vietnam War era, making it a quintessential piece of U.S. military utility wear. Its greatest appeal lies in the highly durable cotton satin and the olive green color that develops character the more you wear them.

It’s packed with rugged details characteristic of the early OG-107, including a large front patch pocket, a button fly, side adjusters at the waist, and a back flap pocket.

And perhaps most appealing of all is the X-LARGE size. Since older OG-107s are most commonly found in small to medium sizes, this is a particularly exciting find for anyone searching for a larger size.

Although listed as “USED,” judging by the fabric, stitching, and various details, there are very few signs of wear—it appears to have been stored in near-new condition. However, there are scattered white stains, primarily on the front. Some areas have hardened into a resin-like substance, which may be difficult to remove with regular washing.Otherwise, it’s in excellent condition considering its age; the fabric is sturdy, and this is a pair you can wear in to develop the unique fade characteristic of the OG-107. As you wear it, the color will fade, and the stains are expected to gradually blend in.

With its original specifications, stamped markings, and the rare X-LARGE size, this is a vintage piece with outstanding presence that lets you experience the early stages of the OG-107’s history—distinct from the more refined later models.
