We have just received a pair of "Frogskin" camouflage overpants in good condition, which were used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps (USMC) during World War II!
Frogskin (Duck Hunter camo) is a camouflage pattern that appeared in the early 1940s and was used by the Marine Corps and Army as combat uniforms in the Pacific theater. It is often reversible, and the reverse side of this item also has a brown-based pattern. This unique color and vividness of the pattern is the reason why it is still highly regarded today. The surface is called "jungle" camouflage and the reverse side is called "beach" camouflage.
The item introduced here is a stock item from "C.R.C. (Costume Rental Company)," a movie costume rental company that once existed in Hollywood, U.S.A. The inner lining is a "C .R. C . " (Costume Rental Company). The "C.R.C." stamp remains on the inner lining. It is a miraculous piece that was stored as an actual movie/TV costume, but had been lying in a warehouse without being used for a long time. There are some handwriting and markings on the body that may be names, but the fabric is in extremely good condition and is "near dead stock" with almost no signs of use. Items from this era with this much color remaining are becoming increasingly rare in the United States.
This piece has an overwhelming story to tell, with its realism and well-preserved condition of the time, and even the history of Hollywood. It is a great item for collections as well as for incorporating into modern fashion. Especially for bikers, pants and jackets can be made based on this jacket. The way to enjoy is up to you. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
