This will be a grouping of a Beogum camouflage survival vest or medic vest worn by USAF para-rescue and helicopter pilots, with a 2nd Model Fatigue Jacket and a locally made cowboy boonie. All of these items were released from the same person. The famous Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Bill 'Pits' Pitsenbarger is pictured wearing a similar vest. This vest was not released by Mr. Pitsenbarger. The vest is in almost unused condition with no signs of use. The zippers are all YKK, the fabric is a slightly different color of veogam camouflage, and there are pockets inside and outside for storing various items. The vests were used by soldiers who were in charge of carrying wounded soldiers to the hospital after treating them, such as para-rescue teams. The left and right sides can be adjusted by straps. The left side is fastened in two places with straps, and is adjusted to easily reach some pouches. The fatigues are 2nd model with rank insignia, Air Crew Member Badge, branch tape, name tape, etc. all locally made and all of them are first time attached. It is in worn condition, but there are no major tears or repairs. There are some stains and fading, though not noticeable. The cowboy boonie hat is locally made and has a locally made hand embroidered patch sewn on. As can be seen from the patch, Tan Son Nhat Airport in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) was the base to which he was assigned. It is thought that these boonies were worn at the base when not on duty. All of them are in good condition with no noticeable damage. Vests with tiger stripes are very rare, but a set-up like this in veogam camouflage is even more valuable.
