This zigzag pattern tiger stripe beret hat is believed to have been privately procured in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The zigzag pattern appeared in the latter half of the Vietnam War, but its use has only been confirmed in a small number of cases, and most of them were used for suitbags, hats, and other items procured by individuals. This beret was probably procured at a tailor store in Okinawa. As for the workmanship of the hat, it does not look as if it was made by a hat maker, but rather as if it was made by imitation based on a sample. Patches are attached. It is assumed that the hat was probably procured by a Marine. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
