This is a Tiger Stripe from the Vietnam War era, specifically the "Okinawa Tiger" pattern, which is particularly popular. The size is estimated to be A-L.

It is estimated to have been manufactured around 1965–66 and is believed to have been produced in Japan.Known among collectors as the “JWD” variant, this is a highly striking camouflage pattern featuring a deep black base with olive and pale khaki stripes sharply overlapping. With a large proportion of black and bold, flowing lines reminiscent of a tiger’s fur running throughout, this piece fully captures the essence of the Tiger Stripe pattern.

The silhouette is the “Asian Cut” commonly found in garments made in Asia. It has a unique character in the balance of the rise, waistline, and legs, embodying the charm characteristic of locally made items from that era. Based on the actual measurements, the size is estimated to be equivalent to an Asian L. As vintage tiger-stripe pants go, this is relatively large, and its comfortable fit makes it easy to wear—a major selling point. The hand pockets have been omitted.

They feature cargo pockets on both thighs, but there are no back pockets—they have been omitted. Beyond the bold camouflage pattern, the storage capacity typical of military pants and the rugged silhouette are also major attractions. Simply pairing them with a shirt or T-shirt makes them the star of any outfit.

The condition shows signs of wear; the fabric has sun-faded areas due to age, giving the overall piece a slightly yellowish appearance. On the other hand, the distinctive black-and-green contrast of the tiger stripe pattern remains vivid, and fading is relatively minimal. While there is some minor scuffing and wear near the hem, there are no major tears, and considering its age, this pair is in good condition.

Among vintage tiger-stripe pants, this pair combines several attractive features: it’s made in Japan, is an “Okinawa Tiger” style, features an “Asian Cut,” and comes in a relatively large size. With its outstanding presence, these pants are highly recommended not only for collectors but also for those who want to enjoy wearing them.
