This is a model of the X-1 manned aircraft signed by Air Force Brigadier General Charles Elwood Jaeger, a.k.a.  "Chuck" Jaeger, who was the first person in human history to break the speed of sound barrier, Mach 1, with the X-1 in 1947. It was developed by the U.S. Army Air Corps and Navy Air Corps of NACA (the predecessor of NASA), which was behind in the development of jet engines at the time. It is famous as the first manned sonic flight in human history. At that time, the test pilot who achieved the first manned sonic flight was Air Force Brigadier General Chuck Jaeger. In the movie "The Right Stuff," the scene where he exceeds the Mach 1 barrier is famous, but the legendary fighter pilot and test pilot who achieved a very important feat in American aviation and space development is Brigadier General Chuck Jaeger, and this item has his autograph. This item has a very high historical value.

The former owner actually received the autograph directly from Brigadier General Chuck Jaeger, and since it was given to him more than 20 years ago, the model is used, but the signature is still beautiful. The model has a few cracks on the fuselage. It is not a print, but signed by the person himself at night. Photographs of the person signing the model and copies of certificates and other documents will be included.
