This is an actual Lizard camouflage jacket used by the French Army during the Indochina War in the 1950s. There are multiple types known to exist, and this jacket is a pattern called TAP 47/53. It is a very rare camouflage garment. The distinctive tail strap is missing. There is overall fading and slightly darkened stains throughout. The lining has similar stains. There is still a stamp on the lining, but it is faded and hard to read. The shoulder epaulettes appear to be missing in the top photo, but they are present. All pockets and other pockets have metal snap buttons. None are missing and can be removed. The sleeves have two small buttons to adjust the size. Both are still present. Although there is overall dirt, it is in clean condition and can still be enjoyed. The French army's lizard camouflage is a very valuable camouflage in the postwar period, which was later copied locally in South Vietnam and eventually led to the tiger stripe. If you are looking for one, don't miss it. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
