The M-65 Field Parka is a classic piece of cold-weather gear that epitomizes the U.S. military. Adopted in the late 1960s as the successor to the M-51 parka, it was used for many years as a field cold-weather system in extremely cold regions. Its superior functionality and streamlined design have transcended the realm of military gear, continuing to exert a major influence on fashion scenes worldwide as the prototype for the Mods coat. Both the shell and liner are size MEDIUM.

This is a rare complete set featuring both the shell and liner from the 1983 contract. It also includes the hood, making it an exceptionally appealing piece that allows you to experience the original system exactly as it was intended.

The shell is made from an 80% cotton, 20% nylon blend, offering excellent wind resistance and durability for real-world use. With the removable quilted liner in place, it provides ample warmth even in the depths of winter, and without the liner, it serves as a versatile light outer layer for spring and fall.It is a well-designed system garment capable of handling a wide range of seasons with just one piece.

The 1980s M-65 parka is a model from an era when the design had matured into what could be called its final form, having been widely used as the U.S. military’s primary cold-weather gear for troops stationed in Europe and in cold-weather regions even after the Vietnam War. Beyond its practicality, the design blends naturally with modern lifestyles and remains highly popular to this day.

The size is the popular MEDIUM. With its relaxed silhouette, it’s easy to layer and is a “golden size” that fits Japanese people well. Finding pieces in good condition is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing year.

The condition is exceptional—so minimal are the signs of use that it could easily be described as unused. While there are slight stains from storage, the fabric retains its firmness and the overall appearance is superb, maintaining the condition typical of an item that has been stored for a long time.

This rare full set, from the 1983 contract, features a shell and liner from the same era and even includes the hood. This M-65 field parka is highly recommended—not only as a collector’s item but also as a practical garment for the depths of winter.

Please note that since this is a used item, returns are not accepted.
