The M-65 Field Jacket is a masterpiece that boasts an overwhelming degree of perfection in the history of U.S. Army equipment. It is the origin of today's military fashion. The M-65 Field Jacket was contracted in 1967, making it one of the earliest lots of the 2nd model.

Extremely popular, the 2nd model (second model). The zipper is an aluminum zip, and while it shows the vestiges of the first model, it also follows the details of the later model, the 1967 contract (DSA 100-67-C-0165).

The official name on the tag is
"COAT, MAN'S, FIELD WITH HOOD, NYLON COTTON SATEEN OG 107".
It is made of the U.S. military's proprietary nylon/cotton blend material (commonly known as NYCO satin), which combines excellent durability and wind resistance. This is where it differs from 100% cotton.

Yellow embroidered " U.S. ARMY tape " is sewn onto the chest, further enhancing the presence of the front. The collar has a built-in hood and drawcords at the waist and hem to fit the body and prevent cold air from entering.
