1967 Contract, US Army Jungle Fatigue 3rd Model Jacket.
This unit is an extremely realistic piece that can be judged to have been worn by a non-commissioned officer in the 73rd Surveillance Airplane Company, which actually existed during the Vietnam War.

The size is estimated to be S-R.

The 73rd Surveillance Airplane Company was a unit whose main missions were aerial reconnaissance, observation, and frontline support using light aircraft (O-1s, O-2s, etc.), which monitored enemy movements while flying low over the front lines and providing information to artillery and ground troops. It was a very high-risk mission, and due to the nature of close cooperation with ground troops, it is well known that in many cases, the members of the unit were dressed in infantry gear even though they were air troops.

This jacket retains the unit patches, rank insignia, name tape, and U.S. Army tape as they were sewn on at the time, and there is no evidence of later replacement or collector alterations. The detailing is very convincing, strongly indicating that this item was actually worn in Vietnam.

The model is the 3rd Model Jungle Fatigue.
This model is made of non-ripstop cotton wind-resistant poplin fabric with epaulettes, a front without a wing, and a classic four-pocket configuration, and has a high degree of perfection that is most characteristic of the Fatigue jacket.

It is in Used condition with fading and a strong sense of use.
The uneven coloring from the sun, the softness of the fabric, and the fraying around the patches are all expressions that only come from actual use, and do not detract from the value of this piece. Rather, they are very attractive elements that are proof of having been used in actual warfare. Although the size tag is missing, the silhouette and feel are standard and well balanced for modern wear. This is not just a military jacket, but a piece that can be worn as it is, as a piece of history of a soldier and his unit, and can be strongly recommended for both collection and wearing.

This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
