A powerful vintage authentic piece that wears the memory of the Portuguese Colonial War.
This is a Portuguese Army Lizard Camo Combat Jacket used from the late 1960s to the early 1970s.

The tag has the notation "OFICINAS GERAIS DE FARDAMENTO (General Directorate of Equipment Factory)" and was made by the state-run munitions factory at that time. The year of manufacture is estimated to be around 1968 to 1973, exactly the period when Portugal was engaged in the war of independence with African countries (Angola, Mozambique, and Guinea-Bissau).

The unique "lizard camo" pattern is a camouflage designed to reduce visibility on battlefields with dense forests and bushes, and is influenced by the French military TAP47/56, but with a unique Portuguese arrangement.

The construction is extremely practical, with large pockets with flaps on the chest and waist, and a drawcord inside the waist for an adjustable fit. Reinforcement panels are sewn into the shoulders and elbows, and the garment is robustly tailored for harsh local conditions.

The overall condition of the garment shows signs of fading and use, and is in good condition, oozing a realistic battlefield feel. However, there are no noticeable damages or big tears, and it is in very good condition for a vintage military item.

It has high material value and is a must-have for military enthusiasts and vintage fashion lovers. If you want a different camouflage clothing from the usual, this is a good choice without hesitation.

This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
