Introducing a real Okinawa Tiger Jacket, US cut.
This is a relatively early lot of the same pattern known to collectors as the John Wayne or JWD, US cut, with the US-S stamp and S Japanese size tag visible. This size tag may come undone after washing or passing through water, so it can be assumed from the condition of the size tag that the garment has been mostly unused or worn only a few times. The fabric is in very good condition with almost no fading and the black is shiny. There are many variations of Okinawan Tiger stripes, and considering the finishing such as buttonhole sewing and chain stitching on the lining compared to the relatively later ones with the bright green color, we assume that this lot was probably sewn and manufactured in mainland Japan, not Okinawa, among the Japanese-made Tiger stripes. The lot was probably manufactured in the early 1960s, around 1963-1964. This is a rare and almost unused US cut item, so it is rare as a vintage garment as well as a collectible. If you have been looking for these pants, how about taking this opportunity? Pants of the same fabric and lot are also available at the same time. Almost unused goods, but because it is a vintage item, it will be considered used. Please note that returns are not accepted.
